“Texas-Tornado” how we germans like to call Kenny, scored his very first goal last sunday vs TUS Koblenz. 17 minutes into the season opener were played until our Kenny put with a header the ball behind the enemy lines. In a couple of days I will upload a video of the highlights of the match. So please stay tuned! Enjoy some game pictures in the meanwhile.
Kenny played a very solid 1st half. He is quick and always demanded the ball. What I liked the most about Kenny is that he has a pretty good technique for his size. He has no fear to go 1-on-1. His Header in the 17th minute was like a rocket! The ball has such power that it almost knocked the goal over. In the last minutes of the 1st half, you started noticing that Kenny was getting tired. Let’s blame jacklag, although he has been in Munich for almost a week now.
In the 2nd half, Kenny had a few nice plays with Benny Lauth. I really enjoy looking at our offense now. Benny and Kenny can be and will be the next star-duo in club history. For that short period that Kenny has been in Munich, they really harmonized very well. Kenny was tired and got substituted out in the 66th minute. I knew before that Kenny is good. I’ve seen the youtube clips from his MSL and team USA days so I knew what I was expecting when I bought the game ticket. The “Löwenfans” were shouting “Cooper! Cooper! Cooper!” during his substitution. I think there couldn’t have been a better first game than this for him. I was getting the chills and I think so did Kenny Senior and Junior…

its not kenny posting this. but hey, this blog is dedicated only about kenny and his new life here in germany. i am planning to visit him at practice one day and if i can get a hold of him, i will tell him that you posted here for him. we’ll see what happens so stay tuned.
